Be The Power is a political advocacy and educational organization first founded in 2014. Our mission is to activate politically disengaged American Freedmen, encouraging them to participate in electoral politics and ultimately to run for and win political office at all levels of government, with a particular focus on local elections. Through our Be The Power YouTube channel, we have successfully mobilized communities across the nation to engage both in person and online.

Our Key Focus Areas:

• Local Political Organization: We aim to galvanize our voting power to push for policies that benefit our communities at the local, state, and federal levels.

• Building Political Operatives: We are committed to developing well-informed political operatives who focus solely on the policy prescriptions needed for our communities. These individuals will serve as spokespersons for our movement and become candidates in future elections.

• Empowering Candidates: It’s time for American Freedmen to run for office and take control of our narrative, ensuring that our voices are heard and our interests are represented, rather than leaving it to those who may be easily influenced to advocate for other groups.
